Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users via a website, www.safecontractor.com
Employer-organisations who sign up to the scheme can access the database, which enables them to vet potential contractors before they even set foot on site. These employers agree that, as users of the scheme, they will engage only those who have received accreditation.
Many nation-wide businesses, from several key sectors, have signed up to use the scheme when selecting contractors for services such as building, cleaning, maintenance, refurbishment or electrical and mechanical work.

Constructionline provides an up-to-date register of pre-qualified suppliers for construction
contracts, with some 8,000 buyers from over 2,000 organisations. Constructionline pre-qualify all of their suppliers to government standards, and maintain relationships with a range of industry e-Purchasing and Government partners to ensure that they remain relevant to procurement professionals within the construction industry. Triple Shield Property Maintenance Ltd is Constructionline accredited and pre-qualified in health and safety and financial standards to work within the public sector.
It is law that anyone carrying out gas work that is within the scope of the appropriate
Regulations is on the Gas Safe Register. The register is there to protect consumers from unsafe
gas work. Our status as registered engineers is evidence that we are working legally and that
our team of engineers are competent and safe to work with gas. The Gas Safe Register is the official stamp for gas safety. As well as being the identity for the register, Gas Safe Register is also used for a range of gas safety campaigns. Gas Safety Register is held in trust by the Health and Safety Executive. Triple Shield Engineers are all registered and are on the Gas Safe Register.
Our commitment to ongoing personnel development is of paramount importance to our
organisation. Working with other companies within our region we have together formed
a group of like minded people who also understand the importance of training within any industry sector. Working with similar companies to ours and with the help of the CITB and other training providers throughout the North East we continue to support and are proud members of the Contractors Training Group (North East). With the same goal in mind we are together able to source training to suit our individual requirements whilst sharing knowledge and course availability between members.
The Construction Industry Training Board provide employer support through training, access to training grants, advice and guidance on all aspects of people development within the construction industry. CITB company development advisors provide our workforce with assistance on our annual training plan and provision of training courses though the National Construction College.
Over the many years we have been registered with the CITB our workforce have used the National Construction College for delivery of many courses to suit the individual disciplines carried by our organisation and to ensure we stay compliant with current Health and Safety legislation.
Forest Carbon currently leads the way in voluntary woodland carbon capture in the UK. Through the planting of some 4 million new trees in the UK since 2006. Partnering companies like ourselves are removing over 900,000 tonnes of CO2 from the nation’s air. As our team remain passionate about the environment we live and work in we are working with Forest Carbon and have invested in the creation of new woodlands in the UK that will not only capture, over time, the CO2 emissions from our vehicles and operations but will also provide significant other environmental and social benefit to the UK.
